The 2nd Year Program was developed back in 1977 to further the Camp Wildwood experience.  Twenty campers from the previous year are invited back to attend the second year program as a camper.  The professional staff and counselors believe that these campers possess the leadership, maturity and dedication, which characterize their commitment to the wise use of natural resources.

During this week, the 2nd Year Camper will experience many different adventures and will gain a deeper understanding of oneself and of their relationship with other people and the natural world. Emphasizing a friendly and noncompetitive environment, we aim to provide lifelong memories that can serve as inner resources upon which to build character, leadership and self reliance.

In addition to the items listed in the camp brochure, be certain to bring a sleeping bag, ground cover or pad, and backpack for the days we travel. Due to limited space when traveling, you will only be allowed to carry the minimum of personal items. If you do not have a backpack, I can provide you with a duffle bag but inform us if we need to provide that for you.

Don't forget: Hiking boots- we will do some hiking. We will also get wet a lot! Bring an extra swimsuit. Rafting-you must have shoes that tie on or those made for rafting, don't forget them. Don't forget about the night walk, plan on not wearing those shoes for rafting, bring extras.

Since we travel for several days, I don't mind if you bring your music (tapes or CDs, walkman or other devices). I'll bring a player.
