Safety deposit boxes have been around for a long time. They are usually found at banks or post offices. The purpose of a safety deposit box is to secure important documents and items. While a home safe can provide some security, one in a bank has additional security that your home does not. For example, if your home is destroyed by a natural disaster, you may be unable to access your home or the valuables may be burnt or washed away.
Merrion Vaults is the largest independent safe deposit box centre in Ireland and provides account holders a protected area to store valuables in Dublin City Centre.
The vault is found in the basement of a workplace structure near Merrion Square in Dublin 2.
Merrion Vaults opened in September of this year after the development of the company by entrepreneurs Seamus Fahy, owner of Voltaire Diamonds and David Walsh, Chief Executive Officer of Citybox.
The vault provides an array of safes suitable for the safe storage of jewellery, gold, silver, money, documents such as title deeds or wills, family treasures and other useful possessions. Continue reading
